    Christmas in China: what it can look like

    So Debbie and I had to run some errands last week Friday, and while we were doing so, were assaulted by Christmas at Tian Yi the local market we go to for everything under the sun...Seriously they sell everything.  Anyways, so this is the glitz and gaudiness of Christmas in Beijing.  For some reason I can't get the video feature to work on this site, but essentially the Santa in the photo dances, sings and creeped the heck out of me.  And yes he'll sing Brittany Spears songs  if you want him to.

    Large School Party

    Last night we had a huge party with teachers from K-12 attending for dinner, the Christmas story and singing.  Fun was had by all.  Our team took some Christmas photos afterwards!

    Teacher Parties

    Last week Debbie and I had the Kindergarten teachers over for two hot pot parties.  Hot pot is a boiling pot of water with spices in it which then various meats and vegetables are put into and cooked and then taken out and dipped  in different sauces.  Here are some photos from the nights:
