    cleaning

So my family is going to get an exchange student while I'm gone!  This is awesome, but unfortunately this means I have to completely clean/pack up my room before I go.  Now I never really thought I was a pack rat, in fact I regularly clean out my closet and donate to goodwill ...but packing it all up is another story.  Generally, I think we never realize the amount of stuff we accumulate until we take it out of our rooms.  Has anyone seen the show Clean Sweep?  Last week I was helping my grandmother set up for a garage sale, and it was seriously like that show...she has held onto stuff mostly because she isn't physically able to take care of things.  So we cleaned out closets and all that.  Her garage was filled with stuff to get rid of.  Now my room is not as far gone as all that, but really it is amazing at how we can take stuff out of the room and then it still looks like "hey I have a lot of junk still left here..."  Part of me was thinking, why are you doing this now, you're not leaving for two months?  And then today I realized...you'll need the time just to go through stuff.  The funny part is that my family just randomly stuck things in there too while I was gone, and I just haven't had the energy to go through it, and they won't be able to do that anymore because someone else will be occupying the space.  Anyways.  Thank goodness serlite containers are on sale at Target this week.

I also need to figure out what to do with/about my car...Do I keep it?  Do I sell it?  I have no idea.  Part of me doesn't want to sell it since it is paid for and only has around sixty thousand miles on it, and it is a Nissan, those things run for forever.

    China Here I come!

So it is official, I am headed to China at the beginning of August.  I'm super excited to be teaching again, though a bit nervous that I'll be homesick.  I guess I'll just have to draw close to the Father.  I'm also applying to Lee University's Teaching Masters program and that is kind of making me go crazy.  I am not looking forward to taking the GRE.

On a different note I've been going crazy working at this flower place for mothers day.  I love flowers don't get me wrong, but making fifty bouquets of the same thing in a row gets old.  I've seriously probably done over 1000.  Only three more days to go.  I guess we supply to Super Targets, so if you buy your mom flowers for mothers day there, they may have been put together by me or the other 39 people furiously wrapping and cutting for the last week or so.

Anyways, life is good.  God is good.
